Job Summary
Conduct security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicles, monitoring entrances and exits while observing departing personnel to prevent theft. Sound alarms or contact police and fire departments for fires or unauthorized persons, warn violators of rule infractions, and permit authorized access. Investigate accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, preparing written logs and emergency notifications as required by site Post Orders. Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner while mediating conflicts with tact. This role involves irregular shifts with little to no advance notice and requires a valid driver's license. Applicants must be at least 18 years old (21 if armed) and possess a high school diploma or five years of verifiable experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of verifiable experience
- Valid driver's license
- At least 18 years of age
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
- Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
