Job Summary
Greet members with enthusiasm, assist with check-ins, and promote club programs while maintaining a clean, safe, and motivating environment on the fitness floor. Provide orientation to new members on equipment use and demonstrate proper exercise techniques, including strength, cardio, and flexibility movements. Perform routine cleaning and sanitization of equipment and locker rooms, conduct light maintenance checks, and promptly report any issues. Engage with members to build rapport, celebrate their wins, and encourage positive workout experiences. This entry-level role offers a supportive team environment with clear pathways into trainer or management positions, requiring a high school diploma, age 18+, and the ability to stand for extended periods while lifting up to 50 lbs. Certification training is completed within 90 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or fitness
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and ability to work independently
- Passion for fitness and helping others
- Willingness to learn basic training techniques
- Must complete fitness training certification (NCSF) and manufacturer specific equipment training within 90 days of hire
- Must be able to perform and demonstrate a wide range of exercises, including strength, cardio, and flexibility movements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (often 4–8 hours per shift)
- Capability to lift, move, and safely adjust fitness equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
