Job Summary
Greet members with enthusiasm, assist with check-ins and account inquiries, and promote club programs while maintaining a clean, safe, and motivating environment. Provide orientation to new members on equipment use and demonstrate basic knowledge of cardio, strength, and functional training techniques. Build relationships by knowing member names, celebrating wins, and encouraging progress within the club's 'Judgement Free Zone' philosophy. Perform routine cleaning and sanitization of equipment and locker rooms, conduct light maintenance checks, and report any issues promptly. Work extended shifts standing and walking for up to eight hours while lifting and adjusting equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Complete fitness training certification within 90 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or fitness
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and ability to work independently
- Passion for fitness and helping others
- Willingness to learn basic training techniques
- Must complete fitness training certification (NCSF) and manufacturer specific equipment training within 90 days of hire
- Must be able to perform and demonstrate a wide range of exercises, including strength, cardio, and flexibility movements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (often 4–8 hours per shift)
- Capability to lift, move, and safely adjust fitness equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
