Job Summary
Conduct independent energy testing and home inspections at active construction sites, performing specialized Blower Door and Duct Blaster diagnostics. Travel locally to new builds, climb ladders in unfinished spaces, and solve problems without supervision. Identify quality issues, create punch lists, and produce accurate reports for builders while maintaining equipment and safety standards. Drive to sites by 8:30 AM daily, adapting to seasonal busy periods with longer hours or flexible slower times. This role serves as an entry point to becoming a Certified Energy Rater, offering a clear career path into HERS Ratings and ENERGY STAR certification.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable personal vehicle and auto insurance
- Ability to work safely on construction sites
- Professional appearance and conduct
- Must be dependable
