Job Summary
Part-Time Family Assistant for an 8-year-old boy in Mooresville, NC. Hours are Wednesday 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm, and Thursday and Friday 8:00 am – 6:00 pm, with potential for additional hours during the summer of 2027. Responsibilities include school pickups, transportation to and from school and activities (including attending school events when parents are unavailable), homework support, helping with daily routines and development, and assisting with household management tasks. The role involves engaging the child with age-appropriate activities, hands-on learning, meal/snack preparation, laundry, light cleaning, organizing, and holiday decor packing. Must have 3+ years of professional Family Assistant experience, a college degree or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, background check, CPR/First Aid certification, ability to swim, and excellent references. Strong communication, reliability, punctuality, honesty, and a genuine love for supporting children’s learning are essential. The family emphasizes a safe, engaging, and positive home environment and offers competitive pay at $25 per hour, paid time off, sick days, holidays pay, and an annual performance-based bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Have at least 3 years of professional Family Assistant experience
- Have a college degree or equivalent experience
