Job Summary
The School of Education is seeking part-time faculty to supervise teacher candidates in certification programs. Responsibilities include observing and assessing teacher candidates, acting as a liaison between various stakeholders, conducting seminars, and maintaining required records. Candidates should have a Master's degree, five years of K-12 teaching experience, hold PA teacher certification, and ideally possess dual certification in Elementary and Special Education. Knowledge of the Danielson Framework for Teaching and access to transportation for travel to schools is required.
Required Qualifications
- Hold PA teacher certification
- Dual certification in Elementary and Special Education preferred
- Five years of successful K-12 classroom teaching experience
- Current knowledge of pedagogy and assessment
- Current knowledge of state and national standards
Desired Qualifications
- Experience as a cooperating teacher
- Previous experience supervising teacher candidates
