Part-time Facilities Tech I

Job Summary
Provide facilities and venue support during shows and events, including heating, air conditioning, maintenance, and repair of equipment. Adjust controls and valves to regulate building systems, perform multi-craft functions such as locksmithing, plumbing, carpentry, and painting, and assist with set-up and strike of resources. Supervise contractors and vendors while maintaining public and non-public areas. Prepare logs and records for all building systems and HVAC activities. Ensure proper care of equipment and conduct quality inspections. Requires evening and weekend availability with 24/7 on-call rotation for emergencies. High School Diploma required; familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC and life safety, is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Familiar with mechanical and electrical systems such as HVAC, Fire & Life/Safety, EMS, CTV and access systems.
- Ability to repair mechanical and electrical systems.
- Requires ability to use hand tools and power tools common to the skills listed.
- Self-starter with the knowledge of complete tasks effectively and economically.
- Must be punctual and dependable.
- Ability to foster a cooperative working environment.
- Requires evening and weekend availability
- Required to use good judgment when performing and planning tasks.
- On call 24/7 for emergencies (Full-time employees only.)
- Experience using Microsoft Office Products.
- High School Diploma or equivalency (GED).
- Building EMS.
- Life/safety systems.
- Basic knowledge of applicable codes and laws including general safety, lock-out/tag-out, MSDS.
- Include, but not limited to lifting up to fifty (50) pounds.
- working in outdoor, seasonal elements for up to two (2) hours at a time
- standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Stooping, bending and working on knees.
- Will work with others or alone in confined and remote spaces.
Desired Qualifications
- Venue and/or hospitality experience preferred.
- Maintenance certification preferred, but not required.
