Job Summary
Provide care for and lead/participate in activities for students ages 9-14 in the extended day program, working collaboratively with staff to plan developmentally appropriate indoor and outdoor experiences. Assist with room organization, student transitions including carpool and pickup logistics, and maintain assigned spaces while updating records as directed. Acquire professional training through conferences and workshops to support educational goals. This role supports the extended day team Monday through Friday from 2:30pm to 6:00pm during the school year, with additional summer availability. Prior experience with children ages 9-14 and a Montessori environment is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children ages 9 to 14 year old
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, verbal and written, with children and adults
- Understanding of a child's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Demonstrated ability to follow directions and complete tasks in an effective manner
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy setting
- Ability to organize and participate in age-appropriate enrichment activities
- Ability to work well with people
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, not required
- Prior experience in a Montessori environment (preferred)
