Job Summary
Deliver classroom and laboratory instruction covering plumbing installation, maintenance, repair, safety, blueprint reading, and DWV systems to adult learners. Lead hands-on laboratory projects involving soldering, joining methods, and fixture installation while teaching National Plumbing Code fundamentals and troubleshooting. Assist students in developing foundational skills for registered apprenticeships and careers in residential and commercial plumbing. Two evenings per week from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with 88 instructional hours offered in Fall and Spring.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of recent residential and commercial plumbing experience
- Current or previous Michigan Journeyman or Master Plumber License
- Strong knowledge of residential and commercial plumbing systems
- Strong knowledge of National Plumbing Code
- Strong knowledge of plumbing safety practices
- Strong knowledge of plumbing tools and equipment
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Desire to mentor and teach adult learners
- Pass a criminal background check
- Complete fingerprinting requirements
- Meet EduStaff employment requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Previous teaching or employee training experience
- Associate degree or related education in plumbing or construction technology
- Experience working with apprentices or entry-level employees
