Job Summary
Operate off-road haul trucks, loaders, and skid loaders while performing daily vehicle and work area inspections. Observe visual and auditory signals during operation, conduct routine preventive maintenance, clean equipment, and assist with plant repairs as needed. Work outdoors year-round with minimal supervision, adhering to MSHA regulations and handling material lifting and movement. This part-time role supports Eastern Iowa's infrastructure growth through limestone extraction, requiring flexibility to adapt to evolving team operations and additional assignments as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- 1+ years of related experience
- Valid US driver's license
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of MSHA regulations
- Effective verbal communication
- Knowledge of machines and tools including their design, use and maintenance
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-round
- General physical activities include climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reach with hands and arms, and handling material
- Flexibility and adaptability to evolving job demands
