Job Summary
Operate off-road haul trucks, loaders, and skid loaders at the Cedar Rapids Quarry while performing daily vehicle and work area inspections. Observe visual and auditory signals during operation, conduct routine preventive maintenance, clean equipment, and assist with plant repairs as needed. Work outdoors year-round with minimal supervision, adhering to MSHA regulations and handling material lifting and pushing. Flexibility to take on additional mining-related tasks and assignments as required to support overall team operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- 1+ years of related experience
- Valid US driver's license
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of MSHA regulations
- Effective verbal communication
- Knowledge of machines and tools including their design, use and maintenance
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-round
- General physical activities include climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reach with hands and arms, and handling material
- Flexibility and adaptability to evolving job demands
