Job Summary
Operate off-road haul trucks, loaders, and skid loaders at the Cedar Rapids Quarry while performing daily vehicle and work area inspections. Monitor visual and auditory signals during operation and conduct routine preventive maintenance, cleaning, and repairs on assigned equipment. Assist with plant maintenance and repairs as needed, adhering to MSHA regulations and working with minimal supervision. Handle material lifting, climbing stairs, and outdoor work year-round. This role supports essential infrastructure growth for Eastern Iowa, requiring a valid driver's license and one year of related experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- 1+ years of related experience
- Valid US driver's license
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of MSHA regulations
- Effective verbal communication
- Knowledge of machines and tools including their design, use and maintenance
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-round
- General physical activities include climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reach with hands and arms, and handling material
- Flexibility and adaptability to evolving job demands
