Job Summary
English Tutor needed to support K–12 students with reading, writing, and literacy in after-school sessions. Lead structured, small to mid-sized groups, model guided practice, provide feedback, monitor progress, and communicate with school staff and Concorde program coordinators. Requires minimum 60 college credits and strong English Language Arts skills; experience with school-age learners; part-time, 1–4 hours per week; on-site at partner school; sessions run ~10 weeks per assignment; compensation $50+ per instructional hour.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 60 college credits (Associate degree or in progress acceptable)
- Strong English Language Arts skills appropriate to the assigned grade band
- Experience working with school-age students (teaching, tutoring, camps, after-school programs, etc.)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently
- Reliable, organized, and professional
- Comfortable supporting learners with varied learning levels
