Job Summary
Provide tutoring and academic support for K–12 students in after-school sessions, focusing on reading, writing, and literacy. Lead structured, small-to-mid-sized groups, model guided practice, and monitor progress with informal checks. Communicate professionally with school staff and Concorde coordinators; adapt instruction based on student progress and site feedback. Requires minimum 60 college credits and strong ELA skills; part-time commitment of 1–4 hours per week across a ~10-week program at partner schools (Cambridge, MA area).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 60 college credits (Associate degree or in progress acceptable)
- Strong English Language Arts skills appropriate to the assigned grade band
- Experience working with school-age students (teaching, tutoring, camps, after-school programs, etc.)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently
- Reliable, organized, and professional
- Comfortable supporting learners with varied learning levels
