Job Summary

Teach up to three students simultaneously in interactive sessions covering Grade 9 to 12 English and social studies, utilizing pre-planned lessons and proprietary Oxford Learning methodologies. Deliver instruction both online and in-person while maintaining daily student communication updates and post-lesson notes. Work evenings Monday through Thursday and select Saturdays, requiring full-time commitment through the school year and summer. Applicants must reside near Sherwood Park, pass vulnerable sector screening, and hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification. This role supports student confidence development within a team focused on cognitive learning science.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience
  • Good knowledge of the current Grade 9 to Grade 12 curriculum
  • Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Grade 9 to Grade 12 (or equivalent) level
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students' understanding
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
  • Must be able to commute to this location
  • Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory
  • Applicants must reside in or within a short commute of the Sherwood Park area
