Job Summary
Conduct one-on-one English and social studies instruction for grades 1–12, tailoring lessons to individual student needs and learning styles. Guide students toward mastery using a gradual release approach to build confidence and academic success. Deliver personalized sessions without lesson planning, outside work, parent conferences, or grading responsibilities. Maintain proficiency with G-Suite and learning management software while providing fingerprints and passing a federal background check. Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in your subject area (English, Social Studies, History, Government, Economics—anything that fuels your passion!)
- Patience & Empathy: You understand that every student learns differently, and you're committed to supporting them every step of the way.
- A Heart for Teaching: A genuine passion to share your subject with the next generation.
- Proficiency using G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS).
- Ability to provide fingerprints (AZ, WA, only) and pass a federal background check.
Desired Qualifications
- Orton Gillingham trained
- A teaching certification - nice to have, but not required!
- Advanced degree in a specific subject area of expertise.
- Previous one-to-one teaching experience.
