Job Summary
Meet new Event Specialists in-store by demonstrating product setup, conduct, and teardown. Introduce associates to store management, review engagement protocols, and coach on the retailer's model and paperwork filing. Build rapport with store leadership while consistently visiting the store on a regular schedule. Conduct performance audits, track development progress using scorecards, and review coaching points with supervisors. Work with existing specialists to continue training in event management, customer engagement, and salesmanship. Study product materials, review schedules, and attend relevant trainings. Drive up to 20% of the time. Requires high school diploma, 2-3 years in event marketing or retail, and passing food safety training.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- Must pass online Food Safety training exam
- Compliance with all food safety requirements and regulations
- Must be able to lift and/or push up to 74 pounds
- Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
- Ability to use products or cook food as appropriate for the demonstration
- Ability to travel and drive
- Use of proper safety practices when handling the products and/or cooking is essential
Desired Qualifications
- 2-3 years' experience in event marketing, demonstrations, customer service, sales, retail/grocery, or coaching for improvement is highly desirable
- Excellent customer service orientation
- Comfortable coaching for improvement from a positive point of view
- Self -starter and ability to work independently to achieve goals
- Ability to work effectively with management
- Must be comfortable engaging with the public, talking with consumers and recommending product sales
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain relationships and trust with store management
- Dependable, reliable, integrity, goal oriented, and driven to succeed
- Excellent written communication and verbal communication skills
- Problem solving skills
