Job Summary
Meet new Event Specialists in-store by demonstrating product setup, execution, and teardown. Introduce associates to store management, review engagement protocols, and coach on the retailer's model and paperwork filing. Conduct regular performance audits and support existing specialists with ongoing training in event management, customer engagement, and salesmanship. Maintain consistent store visits to track development progress and build positive relationships with store personnel. Requires 2-3 years in event marketing or retail, high school diploma, and ability to lift 74 pounds while working in cold conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- Must pass online Food Safety training exam
- Compliance with all food safety requirements and regulations
- Must be able to lift and/or push up to 74 pounds
- Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
- Ability to use products or cook food as appropriate for the demonstration
- Ability to work in extremely cold conditions (i.e. refrigerated and freezer sections)
- Must be able to travel and drive
- Must be able to engage in considerable physical activity
Desired Qualifications
- 2-3 years' experience in event marketing, demonstrations, customer service, sales, retail/grocery, or coaching for improvement
- Excellent customer service orientation
- Comfortable coaching for improvement from a positive point of view
- Self -starter and ability to work independently to achieve goals
- Ability to work effectively with management
- Must be comfortable engaging with the public, talking with consumers and recommending product sales
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain relationships and trust with store management
- Dependable, reliable, integrity, goal oriented, and driven to succeed
- Excellent written communication and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills including familiarity with Word, Excel, and Internet usage
