Job Summary
Part-time Emergency Transportation Specialist responsible for transporting organs, tissues, and critical medical supplies in coordination with clinical teams. Operates under emergency and non-emergency conditions with measured judgment, communicates clearly with dispatch and partners, and identifies delays or safety concerns to escalate. On-call role with variable dispatch activity; location-specific duties may include tissue and donor transport per regulatory protocols. Requires professional composure, safety-focused vehicle operation, and adherence to established procedures; engagement with transplant community and clinical partners. Must have a minimum of 5 years emergency vehicle operation experience (red lights and sirens preferred), a valid driver’s license with clean history, and successful completion of background and drug screening. Preferred background in law enforcement, fire service, or career EMS.
