Job Summary
Part-time Emergency Vehicle Driver for organ/tissue donor transport at NORA. Responsibilities include transporting surgical teams, organs, tissues, and critical medical supplies under emergency and non-emergency conditions; operate with safety and protocol adherence; communicate clearly with dispatch and clinical partners; identify delays or safety concerns and escalate. This on-call role requires calm, professional judgment and ability to work with clinical teams in time-sensitive situations. Location-specific duties at San Antonio, TX, with in-person remote arrangement; on-call hours vary and weekly hours are not guaranteed. Requires 5+ years of emergency vehicle operation, a valid license, background/drug screening, and a reliable safety-conscious approach to mission-critical transport.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years emergency vehicle operation experience (red lights and sirens preferred)
- Background in law enforcement, fire service, or career EMS preferred
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving history
- Successful background and drug screening
