Job Summary
Provide instructional support in Computer Science at North Elementary, assisting classroom teachers with technology-enabled instruction. Maintain and repair school computer equipment, oversee various classroom devices, and manage schedules to maximize computer usage. Guide students in using technology, reinforce keyboarding per State Core Standards, and support teachers with materials on courseware and the scope/sequence of the CS program. Maintain an orderly learning environment and ensure compliance with district policies while communicating student progress to teachers.
Required Qualifications
- Basic computer knowledge
- Familiarity with Google Docs
- Check email frequently
- Willingness to learn and use district computer systems and software as needed
- Provide instructional support and feedback to teachers as needed
- Assist with keyboarding instruction and computer activities
- Maintain technology in good working order
- Support teachers in technology-enhanced instruction
- Attend to classroom management and student guidance as part of paraprofessional duties
