Job Summary
Teach up to three elementary students or two high school students in math, science, and English using pre-planned lessons and Oxford Learning methodologies. Complete daily student communication updates and monthly progress reports while maintaining a friendly, professional demeanour to build student confidence. Work in-person at the Calgary location, Monday through Thursday during days, afternoons, or evenings, with Saturday availability, and commit through the end of the 2025-26 school year. Submit a CV and cover letter specifying grade and subject competencies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
- Third-year university students with tutoring experience
- Working towards or having a teaching certification
- Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum
- Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten to Grade 12 (or equivalent) level
- Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students' understanding
- Availability (9:00 am - 8:00 pm)
- Commitment through to the end of the 2025-26 school year (June 30th), with the possibility of continuing through the summer
- This role is in-person
- You must be able to commute to this location
- Relocation packages are not available
- Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory
- Applicants must live in or within a short commute of the Calgary area
