Job Summary
Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing the Creative Curriculum and managing day-to-day classroom activities, including intentional play, meals, and bathroom breaks. Maintain high-quality verbal engagement with children while applying brain-based techniques for self-regulation and CLASS-based practices for instructional support. Supervise children at all times, report developmental concerns to the Center Director, and ensure the environment remains clean, safe, and compliant with CDC policies. Work Monday through Friday from 2:30pm to 5:30pm with paid time off, holidays, and sick days included.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 2,500 child hours
- Superior decision-making, problem solving, time management, and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Proper attendance
- Must be able to stand for long periods throughout the workday with intermittent periods of sitting, walking, and occasional bending, twisting, stooping, reaching and grasping as necessary to carry out essential job duties
- Dexterity requirements range from coordinated movements of fingers and hands to simple movements of feet, legs and torso as necessary to carry out essential duties
- Lifting and carrying of children and/or objects up to 50 pounds
- May require travel to other centers within the county
Desired Qualifications
