Job Summary
Provide caring, attentive, and engaging support to infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children while assisting the classroom teacher with daily routines, activities, transitions, and classroom management. Engage children in age-appropriate play, learning experiences, and social activities to support their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Supervise children at all times, assist with care routines including meals and toileting, and implement curriculum activities while maintaining a safe, clean environment according to EEC standards. Communicate positively with staff and families and collaborate with the teaching team to ensure a warm, consistent experience. Follow all program policies, health and safety procedures, and Massachusetts EEC regulations.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Ability to safely lift and care for young children as needed
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive environment for children
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a classroom team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Warm, patient, nurturing, and dependable
- Experience working with young children, preferably infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or elementary-aged children
- Enjoys working with young children and creating engaging learning experiences
Desired Qualifications
- Massachusetts EEC Teacher-qualified candidates strongly preferred
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification
