Job Summary
Implement individuals' plans consistent with their specific services, goals, and outcomes while ensuring physical and emotional well-being. Actively engage individuals in skills development, socialization, and task participation across all settings, including transport to community activities and recreational outings. Support person-centered inclusion by modeling interactions with neighbors, peers, and family members. Provide appropriate supervision, maintain certification in AMAP, CPR/First Aid, and SCIP, and document all data, reports, and incidents accurately. Safeguard confidentiality, ensure equipment safety, and uphold program cleanliness standards. Meet or exceed DSP Core Competencies Standards within the first year.
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant)
- One year or more experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Valid NYS driver's license
- Maintain certification in AMAP, CPR/First Aid and SCIP
- Meet or exceed the DSP Core Competencies Standards by the end of the 1st year of employment
