Job Summary
Provide hands-on Direct Support Professional (DSP) care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, assisting with activities of daily living, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live independently. Build positive relationships, support personal goals, assist with meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks, support employment and social activities, use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication, encourage independence, monitor health and safety, communicate with Abound team members and families, and complete documentation and ongoing training. Flexible schedules with paid onboarding and training, weekly pay, and opportunities for advancement.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks
- Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary
- Lifting may be required, depending on client needs
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required — we provide paid training and support
