Job Summary
Provide hands-on support that helps individuals with IDD build independence and confidence. Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks; support community participation, employment, and social activities; use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication; monitor health and safety; communicate with the Abound Health team, families, and external parties; and complete documentation and ongoing training. The DSP role involves building positive relationships, supporting clients to achieve personal goals, and contributing to a team-driven, growth-oriented environment with flexible part-time opportunities and a $20-$25/hour pay range plus a $1,000 signing bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks
- Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary
- Lifting may be required, depending on client needs
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required — we provide paid training and support
