Job Summary
Transport residents using the Friendship bus or taxi while assisting them with entering and exiting the vehicle safely. Adhere to scheduled pick up and drop off times and anticipate travel times to accommodate resident schedules. Examine vehicles for cleanliness, removing trash and cleaning handles with anti-bacterial wipes after each transport. Adhere to vehicle maintenance standards by examining vehicles regularly and reporting any maintenance or safety issues to the Director immediately. Assist with resident activities as directed. Some short weekend hours are required. Hours vary. CDL is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License in the state of Virginia
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Ability to occasionally lift or move objects weighing 50 pounds
- Ability to use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects or controls; reach with hands and arms; frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend and walk
- Some short weekend hours
