Job Summary
The Associate I, Donation Services greets customers and assists with dropping off items at retail centers and stand-alone donation centers, often outdoors in all weather. Responsibilities include friendly customer service, unloading donations from vehicles, inspecting items for quality, sorting into appropriate bins or production areas, maintaining a safe and organized environment, and supporting remote donation centers. The role may involve assisting drivers with loading/unloading donations, cross-training in other departments, and reporting donation levels to prevent overstock at trailers or remote sites. Strong communication, basic computer skills, and the ability to work a varied schedule are needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- One year of retail experience (preferred)
- Ability to read, comprehend, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Must be able to work a varied schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays with occasional overtime
- Must be able to lift and handle donations and use safety equipment (dolly, pallet jack)
- Ability to operate in varying weather conditions
- Must follow Goodwill standards and guidelines
