Job Summary
The Part-Time Donation Services Associate greets customers, accepts donations, and assists at both the Leetsdale Store and Clayton Donation Center. Responsibilities include unloading donations from customers’ vehicles, sorting items into appropriate bins for the sales floor or shipment, ensuring items are handled with care, maintaining a safe, organized environment, and assisting drivers with loading/unloading donations. The role requires excellent customer service, the ability to work in varying weather conditions, and a willingness to cross-train in other departments. Evening and weekend availability is required, with potential remote-site duties at remote donation centers and adherence to all store/donation center policies. The position offers part-time hours, Daily Pay access, paid holidays, sick leave, jury duty, bereavement leave, pre/post-tax retirement contributions, and PSLF-eligible benefits; previous retail experience and safety equipment operation skills are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- One year retail experience preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Must be able to lift and unload donations and operate safety equipment
- Ability to read, understand, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Must be able to work a varied schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Cross-training in other departments and act as back-up for other areas
- Able to obtain Powered Equipment Operator certification (forklift, baler) as needed
