Job Summary
Part-Time Domestic Violence Nurse Examiner provides trauma-informed medical-forensic examinations for survivors of domestic violence, including evidence collection and documentation for legal and medical purposes. Serves as primary contact for law enforcement, district attorney’s office, hospital partners, and hotline; provides expert court testimony as needed. Collaborates with advocates, law enforcement, and other professionals to support survivor-centered care; maintains required certifications and participates in ongoing training. Coordinates with program leadership to ensure policies, procedures, and forensic exam program evaluation operate at a high level. Treats patients with dignity and respect; participates in program development and community outreach as requested.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in Oklahoma
- IPVNE certification (or ability to obtain in a timely manner)
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (emergency, trauma, women’s health, or forensic preferred)
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated commitment to trauma-informed, survivor-centered care
