Job Summary
Load and unload freight in a productive, safe, and claims-free manner, maximizing space when operations occur outside the warehouse. Complete pre and post trip inspections on all dock equipment and properly document all freight control processes. Participate in Dayton Freight's training and improvement programs while adhering to operational procedures in the Driver/Dockworker Manual. Be available for irregular work schedules, alternating shifts, and assignments. Requires 18 years of age, basic math skills, fluency in English, and passing a drug screen. This role involves routine physical tasks including operating forklifts, handling freight, and using scanners.
