Job Summary
Support tāngata with personal cares, cooking meals, hygiene, daily routines, and medication support while ensuring tikanga Māori values are upheld in every aspect of whare life. Work alongside your Kaitaataki and wider team to build independence, confidence, and community connections, maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. Participate in team hui, handovers, and ongoing learning to foster culturally safe, inclusive, and empowering living experiences. This part-time role (24 hours/week) in Papakura requires a full NZ driver's licence and reliable transport, with pay based on recognised Care and Support Worker qualifications. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in disability support, mental health, or life skills support
- A calm, caring and respectful approach to supporting others
- Willingness to learn about kaupapa Māori values and practices
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Flexible and reliable
- Availability to work rostered shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Full NZ driver's licence
- Reliable transport
