Part-time Director/Teacher

Job Summary
Part-time role combining preschool teaching and program direction: 3 hours/day as a preschool teacher designing and implementing curriculum for early childhood students, and 2 hours/day as program director planning, organizing, and supervising the ELC and after-school programs in coordination with the school board. Emphasizes developmentally appropriate curriculum, strong supervisory and leadership skills, effective communication with staff and parents, adherence to state and educational requirements, and managing admissions, attendance, and educational goals. Requires practicing member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, a Bachelor’s degree or higher, and background/fingerprint clearance. The role involves collaboration with denominational education offices and participating in program development, staff training, and fiscal responsibilities related to school nutrition reimbursements.
Required Qualifications
- Requires a high school diploma
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood education or a related education major OR a minimum of five years teaching experience in a child care center
- Eligible for denominational teacher certificate
- Prior teaching experience preferred
- Prior school director experience is preferred
- Fingerprint and Background Check clearance
- Sterling Volunteers clearance
- Practicing member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
- Achieved no less than a Bachelor’s Degree
