Job Summary
Provide daily support to adults with developmental disabilities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication management, and community integration. Assist clients with medical needs, transfers, and tube feeding while operating necessary equipment like Hoyer lifts. Document shifts through written and digital records covering behavior tracking, incident reports, and financial logs. Transport clients using the agency vehicle and offer positive behavior support under supervision. Must be available for weekend shifts, hold a valid Washington driver's license, and maintain a background inquiry clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Available to work on weekends
- At least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- Washington State Driver's license
- Ability to be covered on Alpha Supported Living Services' automobile insurance plan based upon driving record
- Background inquiry clearance from an authorized state agency
- Knowledge of personal care, emotional support, and medical administration practices
- Physically able to support clients with personal care such as showering, toileting, feeding, dressing, and transferring clients
- Ability to motivate, develop, and provide instructional support to clients
- Basic ability to use laptops, desktops, or tablets to complete computer tasks
- Ability to treat participants with dignity and consideration, promoting and safeguarding clients' ability to make decisions and freely exercise their rights
