Part Time Direct Support Facilitator- Community Participation

Job Summary
Direct Support Facilitator – Community Participation provides person-centered support to adults with developmental disabilities within community settings. The role collaborates with other staff to implement development plans and programming/activity schedules that flow from a client-centered philosophy, and involves travel to various sites to support individuals in building meaningful community participation. Requirements include a valid driver’s licence with clean driving record and access to a reliable vehicle, valid First Aid/CPR, and NVCI certification. The position is part-time (hours Monday to Friday, 10:00am–2:00pm) in Hamilton, Ontario, with accommodations available on request for applicants in all aspects of the selection process.
Required Qualifications
- DSW, SSW or Social Sciences degree or diploma in a related field
- Two (2) years recent experience working with adults with a developmental disability preferred
- A valid driver’s licence, clean driver’s abstract and access to a reliable vehicle to facilitate travel to various sites
- Valid First Aid/CPR Certification
- Valid NVCI Certification
