Job Summary
Provide direct patient care under licensed nurse supervision by initiating and discontinuing dialysis treatments, obtaining vitals and vascular access assessments, and administering heparin as permitted. Operate and perform safety checks on hemodialysis machines while documenting treatment parameters and preparing laboratory specimens. Deliver excellent customer service to patients, families, physicians, and internal staff. Maintain a safe, clean environment and assist with equipment moving up to 200 lbs. This part-time role requires two years of dialysis experience, current certification, and color blindness test compliance. Concerto supports the hemodialysis health care team in delivering safe, effective therapy.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR Certification or completion upon starting in unit
- Able to meet physical demands of the position
- Minimum of two (2) years of dialysis technician experience
- Dialysis certification
- Must meet the necessary requirements of Ishihara's Color Blindness test as a condition of employment
- Must be able to bend over
- Must be able to move, with assistance, machines and equipment of up to 200 lbs.
- Must be able to lift chemical and water solutions of up to 30 lbs. up as high as 5 feet
- Requires mental, visual, and auditory attention
