Job Summary
Answer telephone calls, redirect incoming messages, and draft correspondence for supervisor review. Review and accept e-filings for official records, conduct searches, and issue certified or non-certified document copies. Prepare documents for microfilming or scanning, enter data into the computer system, and generate forms or reports. Collect fees, fines, and court costs, interview clients on payment terms, and post payments to the database. Provide information to employees, vendors, and citizens regarding court records functions while serving as a liaison between departments. Perform medium physical effort tasks involving lifting, carrying, and repetitive motion at a keyboard. Hourly rate is $14.00.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two (2) years of experience performing clerical and/or administrative support work in civil or criminal fields
- At least one (1) year in a County Clerk's Office
- Ability to exert medium physical effort
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull objects of medium weight (20-50 pounds)
- Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motion
- Ability to perceive and discriminate sounds and visual cues or signals
- Ability to communicate orally
