Job Summary
Lead elementary students in enrichment activities and foster youth development within our after school setting. Conduct ministry-focused engagement to serve kids and families in the community, acting as a role model for students. Provide daily care and support during the school calendar year, Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Maintain mandatory CPR/First Aid certification and pass background checks while ensuring all students are safe. This part-time role offers an opportunity to mobilize godly people into the lives of children, contributing to our mission of providing tangible help and eternal hope.
Required Qualifications
- Agree with and exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith
- Must be at least 17 years of age
- Able to work Monday - Friday 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year
- Ability to earn CPR/First Aid certification
- Pass Mandatory Background/Sex offender check
- Valid driver's license or Valid ID
- Legally allowed to work in the United States
- Have dependable transportation
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
- some post-secondary training highly preferred
- Have a passion and love for working with elementary school-aged children
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children is preferred
- Spanish-speaking ability greatly valued
