Job Summary
Radiation Therapist in the Radiation Oncology Department delivers ionizing radiation per physician prescription, operates radiation-producing equipment with safety controls, documents in EMR, participates in quality control, patient assessment across ages, and may join on-call rotations and as an active clinical instructor for RTT/RTR students; role is part-time with day shift in Wellstar Paulding (Hiram, GA) and supported by the Clarkdale, GA location. Includes patient education on treatment side effects and familiarity with blocks, wedges, and treatment aids; adherence to safety procedures and P/P; involvement in scheduling and ensuring precise treatment per physician and physicist instructions.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree Must be a graduate from an accredited Radiation therapy program
- ARRT Radiation Therapy
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA)
