Job Summary
Part-Time Day Custodian for New Milford High School. Responsibilities include scrubbing, mopping, waxing, dusting, washing windows and restroom fixtures, moving furniture, collecting and disposing of rubbish, replacing light bulbs, and performing simple repairs to building and equipment. Performs routine custodial tasks, cleans and maintains public buildings and classrooms, and may assist with minor maintenance and safety tasks. Must have two signed, current letters of reference uploaded with online application and be able to follow simple oral and written instructions.
Required Qualifications
- Some knowledge of the materials, methods and equipment typically used in janitorial work
- Ability to understand and perform simple oral and written instructions
- Ability to make minor repairs and adjustments to cleaning equipment
- Sufficient physical strength and agility to perform a variety of routine custodial tasks in the care and limited maintenance of buildings and equipment
