Job Summary
Welcome customers to Lowe's, answer questions, and deliver friendly, professional service while helping shoppers find products for home improvement needs. Locate and handle merchandise, replenish down stock by finding empty shelf areas, and process orders and deliveries accurately. Occasionally load merchandise, prepare items such as tinting paint or cutting wood, and cross-functionally train in other store areas to support overall service. Work in departments including Tool Rental, Appliances, or Flooring, with duties varying based on hiring needs. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling and access to tuition assistance, a 401(k) match, and a 10% associate discount.
Required Qualifications
- 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
- Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
- Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation
- Travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months of Retail and/or customer service experience
- Bi-lingual skills
- Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials)
