Job Summary
Operate cash terminals, process payments, and maintain the cash office while detecting shoplifting and communicating security risks to management. Handle customer inquiries regarding returns, exchanges, and repairs by applying company policies and preparing transfer forms for merchandise transport. Assist customers with delivery-related questions and provide solutions with minimal supervision across departments, buyers, and store personnel. This role requires high school graduation, basic math skills, and fluent English communication.
Required Qualifications
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school
- Ability to read and write fluently in English (or another language as may be required) sufficiently to communicate with customers, read invoices, repair orders, faxed requests and similar written materials
- Basic math skills, including multiplication, addition, subtraction and division, necessary to verify amounts and costs of repairs and parts and quantities as may be required
Desired Qualifications
- Prior retail and/or customer service experience
