Job Summary
Part-Time Custodian responsible for cleaning and maintaining school facilities. Performs duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, washing walls and fixtures, restroom upkeep, restocking supplies, replacing light bulbs, recycling, and basic repairs. Operates cleaning equipment and assists with routine maintenance of heating and air conditioning systems; coordinates with supervisor on damages or needs for outside attention; handles unloading and storing of supplies. Requires knowledge of cleaning methods, ability to operate janitorial equipment, physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, valid North Carolina driver’s license, and a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Required Qualifications
- Some experience in housekeeping
- Must possess a valid North Carolina driver’s license
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be physically able to operate vacuum cleaners, carpet shampooers, brooms, mops, leaf blowers, etc.
- Must be able to lift up to a minimum of 50 pounds
- Requires climbing, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping and repetitive motion.
