Job Summary
Perform janitorial and cleaning tasks within assigned areas to meet quality standards and safety guidelines. Dust mop and damp mop floors in classrooms and common spaces, while cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms and removing trash. Use protective gear during all functions and report equipment or product needs to supervisors. Respond promptly to paging system alerts and customer requests, following infection control and universal precautions. Complete cleaning assignments on schedule while maintaining a sanitary environment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to stand and walk for 6-8 hours daily
- Must be able to lift/carry and push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds
- Must be able to work around food and cleaning products
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies, as required by state, local, and/or customers
- Must provide a criminal background check
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous custodial/janitorial experience in a school setting preferred
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Willingness to perform routine tasks consistently
- Must complete all responsibilities without supervision after training
- Must be punctual and reliable for scheduled shifts
