Job Summary
Maintain all buildings, grounds, and facilities by keeping sidewalks, driveways, and play areas clean; regulate heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems; and perform grounds-keeping tasks like grass cutting and tree trimming. Unlock doors before student arrival and secure them after departure, while shoveling and plowing steps, walks, and parking areas as needed. Clean restrooms, classrooms, offices, hallways, and windows on both sides; move furniture within buildings; and conduct general maintenance, upkeep, and minor repairs, reporting major issues promptly. Manage inventory of supplies, equipment, and fuel, and ensure compliance with local laws for trash disposal. Work 1,840 hours annually from July 1 to June 30 at Cannon County Schools and Facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Is clean and neat enough to present the proper appearance when confronting students, teachers and the public
- At least one (1) year of experience
- Meets health and physical requirements
- Adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure
