Job Summary
CRNA provides anesthesia care within a not-for-profit health network, executing clinical responsibilities delineated by clinical privileges. Responsibilities include assisting with collecting, reviewing, and evaluating patient data related to medical and surgical history for planned procedures; maintaining a safe environment and responding to emergencies; preparing and administering medications and fluids per safe practice standards; ongoing assessment of airway, depth of anesthesia, fluid status, and physiologic response to anesthesia to ensure patient safety; completing documentation such as the surgical safety checklist, pre-operative assessment, intra-operative anesthetic record, and transfer-of-care note; logging incidents in the Safety Portal; and performing other duties as assigned. Education required: graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor.
