Job Summary
Inspect delivery vehicles daily for compliance, package and deliver blood products to clients or laboratories, and collect items from mobile drawing sites. Load and unload materials, operate hand trucks, and run errands including document delivery and supply transport. Verify shipments and maintain records on incoming and outgoing materials. Shifts include 9:00am to 3:00pm or 10:00am to 4:00pm, with some night, weekend, and on-call hours required. Valid driver's license and LifeSouth driver eligibility are mandatory; CDL preferred. Starting salary is $16.00 to $17.60 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Must meet and maintain LifeSouth driver's eligibility requirements
- Ability to work a varied schedule
- Some night, weekend and on-call hours are required
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Must be able to do basic math, including addition, subtraction, proportion, percentages, etc.
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, walking, lifting up to 70 pounds, grasping and repetitive motion
- Occasional stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, climbing, overhead lifting
- Criminal background check
