Job Summary
Prepare delicious and attractive food that is colorful and tastefully presented, making each meal service an exceptional occasion for residents and guests. Supervise the kitchen under the direction of the Dining Services Director (DSD) and Chef/Lead Cook. Prepare high quality meals consistent with local customs and tastes, adhering to standard recipes, budgeted costs, and Company policies. Supervise and/or assist in proper washing of dishes and maintenance of kitchen equipment, while monitoring water temperatures and safety to prevent foodborne illness. Interact with residents and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner. Perform other duties as assigned per the full job description.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be flexible/adaptable, pay attention to detail, and have a sense of teamwork.
- Must possess good time management skills and a keen awareness of safety.
- Must possess current manager’s level food handler permit.
- Must have positive Criminal Background Screening.
