Job Summary
New Perspective Senior Living is seeking a part-time Cook to join the care team. The role involves executing established recipes, preparing the kitchen, ensuring food safety and proper handling, maintaining a clean work environment, accommodating allergies and dietary needs, coordinating with front-of-house for proper service temperatures, assisting other cooks, ensuring sanitation of equipment, weighing and prepping ingredients, cooking techniques (steam, grill, boil, bake, fry), checking freshness, garnishing dishes, working under pressure, and providing resident feedback and meal recommendations. Required Qualifications
- High School diploma / GED, or as required by state regulations.
- Cook: One (1) year cooking experience in a restaurant, health care or senior services setting.
- Chef: Two (2) years cooking experience in a restaurant, health care or senior services setting or completed culinary training/certification or vocational training/certification in commercial food preparation.
Desired Qualifications
- Culinary training/certification or vocational training/certification in commercial food preparation
- One year cooking experience in a restaurant, health care or senior services setting

- ServSafe or other food safety certification
